Introduction

Applicants unsure of their visa requirements for their visit to United Kingdom, should check before making an online application on the UK visa site. You can do this by using the questionnaire 'Do I need a visa' on the UK visas' website.

The terms and conditions for use of this website are as follows:

This website is maintained for your personal use and viewing. Access and use by you of this site constitutes acceptance by you of these Terms & Conditions, which take effect from the date of first use. Throughout this document, the terms 'we', 'us' and 'our' refer to Service Provider and the terms 'you' and 'your' refer to you the user.

Important Note:
British Trade and Culture office Taiwan (hereinafter referred to as ("the Authority") has entered into a contract with VF Worldwide Holdings Ltd ("the Service Provider") for provision of visa processing services in Taiwan. The UK Visa Application Centre is a service provided for the Authority in Taiwan by the Service Provider.

General
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Please direct any queries to www.ukvisas.gov.uk/enquiries

Refund policy
The application processing fee, shipping and handling fees once the bio metric details submitted are non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.

Hyper linking by You
You do not have to seek permission to link directly to pages hosted on this site. However, we do not permit our pages to be loaded to frames on your site. The website's pages must load into the user's entire window.

All rights of the Web Site are reserved and no part of the Web Site shall be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system or transmitted in any form or by any means - electronic, electrostatic, magnetic tape, mechanical, printing, photocopying, recording or otherwise including the right of translating in any language without the prior written consent of the Service Provider. Copying or deceptively using the Intellectual Property Rights in any manner including using it via this website is not permitted in any manner whatsoever and all infringers shall be prosecuted under Law including penal consequences.

Virus protection
Adequate effort shall be made to check and test material at all various stages of production. It is always wise for you to run an anti-virus programme on all material downloaded from the Internet. We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption, or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst using material derived form this website. The Service Provide and the Authority shall not be liable to you or any other person or Authority, for any loss of use, revenue or profit, loss or damage or for whatsoever reasons due to your use or even if such damages are foreseeable.

This website contains electronic application forms that allow you to apply for a UK visa or entry clearance over the Internet using a secure connection. The correct application form and questions will be generated depending on the answers you give. You will be given the option to edit your answers at the end of the process, but before final submission.

Declaration
Before final submission of the electronic application, you will be required to confirm that you have read the Declaration Section by signing in the box provided. You should do this by entering your name. This Declaration Section must be signed by you, the applicant, personally, and not by a representative or other person acting on your behalf. An application for a person under the age of 18 may be completed by the parent or legal guardian.

All sections of the revised Visa Application Form need to be completed. Failure to do so could result in the application being rejected, causing further delays.

Privacy policy
The Service Provider has entered into a contract with the Authority. The Service Provider has assigned to the Authority, all Intellectual Property rights owned by the Service Provider in any material, which is generated by them and delivered to the Service Provider in the performance of the contract, and have waived all moral rights relating to such material. The Service Provider has contracted not to reproduce, publish or supply any such material to any person other than the Authority without prior approval. This page explains how the Service Provider and the Authority uses any information you give to us, and the ways in which we protect your privacy.

The Data Protection Act
Under the Data Protection Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. The Authority is processing the personal data on these electronic application forms and related data for the purpose of promoting and protecting the interests of the UK and its citizens abroad. The data may be disclosed to other UK Government Departments and public authorities and companies assisting in the processing and production of your visa.

The Service Provider shall not disclose or allow access to any personal data provided by the Authority or acquired by the Service Provider during the execution of the contract, other than to the Service Provider's personnel or those otherwise lawfully concerned with the execution of the contract.

Feedback, comments and questions
If you send an email or letter to the British trade and culture Office at Taiwan asking for information, we may need to contact other Government departments to find that information. If your question is technical, we may need to pass it on to our technology suppliers. We do not pass on any of your personal information when dealing with your enquiry unless you have given us permission to do so. Once we have replied to you, we keep a record of your messages for up to 6 months for reference and audit purposes, after which it is deleted.

Cookies
Cookies are pieces of data that are often created when you visit a website and which are stored in the cookie directory of your computer. This site does not use cookies.
